How to create an estimate or quote

Whether it’s standard practice in your work or upon a client’s request, they may appreciate or even expect a quote or estimate for services you’re offering which aren’t a fixed sum.

Within Crunch you have the ability to generate an estimate or quote from any of your existing draft invoices.

Initially you will have to create a draft invoice for the expected cost of your services. Click here to find out how to create a draft invoice.

Once you have a draft invoice created, navigate to the ‘Sales’ tab and select invoices. Hover over the options button beside one of the draft invoices and select ‘create estimate or quote’.

You’ll then be provided with the option to select an estimate or a quote.

Don’t get bogged down in the differences - generally a quote is considered a more precise cost which people may expect to remain the same, whereas, an estimate is by its very nature a more flexible and rough approximation.

Once you’ve created the estimate or quote you can download it as a PDF and attach it to an email.
