How to integrate your Cater Allen bank account with Crunch

Cater Allen is used by a large proportion of our clients and as such is our first foray into connecting with the UK's financial institutions. The connection provides an effortless and, most importantly, secure way of transferring your statement entries directly from the bank to your account, ready for reconciliation.

Linking your account to your Cater Allen bank account in the way described below will never give us or any third party the ability to transact on that bank account. It will only enable access to transactional data / information which is required in order to upload your statements.

Step One

If you set up your Cater Allen account through us then you will have already provided and agreed to us providing this service for you and it's ready to go!

If you already hold an account with Cater Allen and did not set it up through us, you will need to download the Change of Adviser template letter, which is attached at the bottom of this article, fill in your details and send it to Cater Allen, using the address on the letter.

Step Two

The second step is to make sure the account is ready for the integration. To do this, make sure that the correct sort code and account number are saved on the account. You can click expand and edit account details to make these changes.

If your Cater Allen account has been active for some time then you will need to reconcile to within 30 days otherwise the integration won’t pick up new transactions.

Step Three

The final step is to activate the service on your account. To do so, click expand on the Cater Allen account then the green ‘Bank Feed Available’ button. This will open up a box with more information. You’ll need to read and accept the Service Description and then click Accept & Activate to enable the integration.


Then, once Cater Allen have processed your authorisation (after approximately ten days), we will begin automatically uploading your statement entries on a weekly basis. Every time new statement entries are automatically uploaded, you'll be sent an email to let you know your statement is ready to be reconciled.

We will be unable to upload any backdated statements.
