Service Description for Accountancy Healthcheck

1. Overview of Service

1.1 The following services are covered by this Service Description. The service is only available to Crunch clients.
Service Details
Accountancy Healthcheck The Accountancy Healthcheck provides our conclusions about the operation of your Crunch Account, feedback on the information contained in your company’s financial statements and up to date tax advice based on your company and personal circumstances. Our accountant will prepare some basic information in advance to inform a telephone call (lasting about 45 minutes) with you.

2. The Contract 

2.1 When you ("you", or the "User") use the service described in this Service Description you enter into a legally binding agreement with Crunch governed by the Crunch Terms of Service (which are expressly incorporated into this Contract with you) together with these Special Terms where they vary or add to the Terms. References to capitalised terms used in this document shall have the same meaning and effect as those defined in the Terms unless expressly stated otherwise.
2.2 Unless we agree with you in writing that your individual terms and conditions are somehow different from the ones outlined in this document or the Terms, you are bound by this document and the Terms when using the Service.

3. Accepting the Terms 

3.1 You must accept these Special Terms and the Terms (“together the “Terms”), and you may not use the Services if you do not accept the Terms.
3.2 There are two ways to accept the Terms:
3.2.1 By accepting the Terms when Crunch makes this available to you (i.e. when activating the Services); or
3.2.2 By using the Services in any capacity.

4. Subscription Fees and Payment 

4.1 Please see the accompanying email for details of the current fees for the service.
4.2 Prices are quoted in UK pounds Sterling and exclude VAT, which is also payable.
4.3 The Service will commence once payment has been made.
4.4 Payment can be made over the phone by Debit or Credit Card.

5. Services provided by Crunch and our responsibilities 

5.1 Our accountant will look at the following areas of your business based on how you operate your Crunch account:
5.1.1 Key accounting ratios, such as profits margins, return on capital, liquidity, and others
5.1.2 The efficiency of how you collect your income and pay for your expenses
5.1.3 Any of your major purchases and their tax
5.1.4 Material balances in the accounts
5.1.5 The implications of taking on more directors, shareholders and raising funds to grow your business
5.1.6 Your VAT registration details and if you’re on the right scheme
5.1.7 Using your director’s loan account correctly and any possible implications for your tax liabilities
5.1.8 Expenses – what you are currently claiming for and what you can be
5.1.9 How to take advantage of the more complex expenses you may not have considered such as running a company car or expense when working from home
5.1.10 Tax plans you’re not taking advantage of – for instance the Annual investment allowance and Research and Development tax breaks
5.1.11 Assess any risks, such as whether you’re at risk of an IR35 investigation
5.1.12 Auto-enrolment pensions and whether you’re compliant with government rules
5.2 We will look at your future plans and how this will affect your business.
5.2.1 Access can be provided to our specialist financial services providers should you need them.
5.2.2 We will provide a full report of our findings for your review.

6. Your responsibilities and provision of information by you

6.1 Please ensure your Crunch account is fully up to date.
6.2 Please provide information accurately when we request it. 
6.3 Please make yourself available to have a conversation with your accountant lasting about 45 minutes.
6.4 Please review your Accountancy Healthcheck report for accuracy. Crunch cannot be held responsible for any information provided in our report which you may seek to rely on or share with a third party.
6.5 The information that we prepare can only be as good as the information on which it is based. Insofar as that information is provided by you, or by third parties with your permission, your responsibility arises as soon as possible if any circumstances or facts alter, as any alteration may have a significant impact on the services provided. If the circumstances change therefore or your needs alter, advise us of the alteration as soon as possible in writing.

7. Cancellation

7.1 Cancellation by you
7.1.1 Crunch will commence work on your Accountancy Healthcheck after you make payment. You are able to cancel the service at any time by giving no less than 5 working days notice. If we have already commenced work on your Accountancy Healthcheck we will agree the amount you should pay.
7.1.2 Following the cancellation Crunch will have no further responsibility in relation to your company's Accountancy Healthcheck.
7.2 Cancellation by Crunch
7.2.1 Crunch reserves the right to cancel the service at any time. We will discuss the reasons for cancellation before the service is terminated. A full refund will be provided to you should Crunch decide to cancel the service.
7.3 Changes in circumstances
7.3.1 When we commence work on your Accountancy Healthcheck, further information may come to light which means we need to revisit our quoted price for the service. We will discuss this with you before agreeing any change in the overall price paid for our services.
7.4 Refunds 
See paragraphs 7.1 and 7.2.

8. Your Data 

8.1 In order to provide this service, Crunch will process the data you provide (including that of your employees) in accordance with General Data Protection regulations. For more information please see our Privacy Policy.
